Quick Update:

A lot has happened the last few days.  Ok not really a lot, mainly me starting a new job.  Which is super awesome, but sadly is really more of a jeans and tee shirt type of place, so my outfits haven't exactly been 'blog worthy.'  This also has put me in a position where I sadly have to bow out of my 30 for 30 challenge.  I'm in no mood to work all day and then come home, change my clothes and take photos on top of attempting to get my wifely duties done, like cleaning, laundry, dinner, etc.  So, though I hate to do it, because I was just starting to get back into the swing of things, I am bailing. :(

I will be updating the blog though as often as possible.  With this job, I'm going to have to explore the more casual side of fashion.  I work with sewing machines and such, so loose clothing is not really a good idea.  And heels are a 'hell no,' because I'm on my feet all day, running around.  So I'm literally entering territory I have no inhabited in quite a while.  Jeans, flats and casual tops... This could be the most interesting challenge yet!

I am posting a few pics from last week that I never had the chance to.  Enjoy!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the winter weather.  I hope it's not as cold as it is here!

Winter Wishlists!

Thanks to my new found love affair with Polyvore.com, I decided to take the time to put together my Winter Wishlists for some of my favorite stores.  Once again (pretty much as always) ModCloth takes the cake with the best and most 'wishes.'  I wish they weren't so expensive so that I might be able to actually make a few purchases this year!  I did speak to my husband though and any cash or checks I receive this year, I can spend on whatever and where ever I want so.  Hopefully they stay in stock for just a few more weeks!

Rue 21
It's not the classiest store ever, but more often than night I find really good buys for really cheap!  So if you are sale shopper or penny pincher like me, you should for sure check them out.  Word of caution though, there are a lot more options in store than online.

Forever21

I always have a hard time with this store.  Their size range all over the place and being a larger girl, it's usually hit or miss.  But these are styles I'm loving right now.  I never order online with them, always an in-store purchase if any.

Urban Outfitters

I was pleasantly surprised at Urban this year.  Normally I find very few things that I'm in love with enough to even consider purchasing.  Everything on this list I would buy in a heart beat if the $$ was available.
Ruche

Strangely enough, I usually always find a billion things here that I want and this year, not so much.  Not to say they don't have really appealing things, but just not very much I was in love with.  Although, the yellow coat is definatly on my list for favorite outerwear pieces so far.
And last, but most definatly not least....

ModCloth

I love everything on this list.  EVERYTHING.  I will for sure be purchasing the tights and the ring, if someone (*hint hint Jacob!*) doesn't buy them for me first.  If only everything wasn't so expensive...  But the striped dress is for sure on my list.  My husband's grand parents usually give us cash for christmas so I'm thinking that that is where it will be going. :)
What is everyone else wishing for this Christmas??

Polyvore has stolen my heart

I've become completely obsessed with Polyvore.com lately.  If I could find a job that paid me to do this everyday, I'd be pretty much the happiest kid on the planet.  These are a couple of things I've whipped up in the last few weeks.  I had no idea this site was so much fun!  It does, sadly, make me want to shop like crazy!

Let me know what you think guys!

30 for 30: Days 2-4

So I know I haven't posted, but I have been keeping up with the 30 for 30.  The batteries in my camera died and ever time I left the house, I would forget to pick new ones up!  So today, since I have all this time on my hands, I threw on each outfit on and snapped a couple shots.  I'll keep it short since I'm post for the last three days.  We've been in a lake effect snow advisory for the last two days, so I apologize for the lame background of my unfinished hallway. :)

 (Dress - Tramp @ Frayed / Belt - Thrifted / Tights - Target / Boots - I don't remember!)

So there you have it.  I'm keeping up!  And I'm proud of myself so far.  Of course, the first few days are the easy part.  It's once I have to start repeating stuff that I'm gonna have to get really creative.  I'm interested to see how this all goes! :)  I have to say though, it is very hard to resist the urge to pick up things here and there.  Now that I'm not working though, it does make it easier to not shop.  I'm beyond bored at home.  But we don't have the funds for me to go on a shopping spree.  I've been looking for work, but I think I need to start really getting on it, instead of half assing it the way I have been.  If nothing else, to get me out of this house! :)  Fingers crossed. <3

About Me

My photo
I'm Kaleigh. I'm 23 years old, living in my small hometown in West Michigan. I'm newly married to the coolest kid in the world. I wanna hit him in the head with a frying pan most of the time, but it's with love that I say that. I love fashion and food. Is that weird? O well. :)
